LootLedger is a product of Kalos Media LLC ("we," "us"). This policy covers three things: the LootLedger desktop application, this website (getlootledger.com), and your purchase through our Gumroad storefront — written in plain language, describing exactly what the software actually does, not a generic template.
LootLedger has no account, no login, and no cloud sync. Every vendor, deal, invoice, and payment you enter is stored in a single local database file on your own computer, at a standard per-user application data folder. Nobody but you has access to it — not us, not a server, because there is no server involved in running the app day to day.
The one exception: if you use the "Check for updates" button in Settings, the app makes a network request to fetch a small file listing the current version, and — only if you choose to install it — downloads the new installer. This is manual, not automatic or silent; nothing is checked in the background without you clicking that button. We don't log who checks for updates or collect any information from that request beyond what's inherent to any web request (e.g. your IP address briefly touching our host, which we don't store or review).
The app's encrypted backup feature works the same way: it's a file you generate and keep, protected by a password only you know. We never receive a copy of it.
getlootledger.com is a static page. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't run analytics, and doesn't track visitors. If that ever changes — for example, if we add basic traffic analytics later — we'll update this policy to say so plainly.
Payment is handled entirely by Gumroad, who acts as merchant of record. We never see or store your card details — Gumroad processes that directly, under their own privacy policy.
When you buy a license, Gumroad notifies us of the sale, which includes your email address and what you paid. We keep a record of that — your email, the sale reference, and the license key it produced — so we can find and revoke a key later if a purchase is refunded, and so we can help you if you lose your key. That record is stored with Cloudflare, and your key is emailed to you via Resend. Neither uses your email for anything beyond that. We don't add you to a mailing list, use your email for marketing, or share it with anyone else.
A license key is a cryptographically signed string tied to nothing about you personally — it doesn't encode your name, email, or any identifying information. The app verifies it entirely offline; that check is what actually decides whether a feature is unlocked, and it works with no internet connection at all.
Separately, when the app does have internet, it opportunistically asks our server whether that key has since been revoked (for example, after a refund). This check is never required — a fully offline install keeps working normally whether or not it succeeds — and the only thing sent is the license key itself, nothing tied to you personally.
If you contact support@getlootledger.com, we use your message and email address only to respond to you. We don't add it to any list or share it.
LootLedger is a business tool for content creators and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
If this changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Given how little data this product actually touches, we don't expect that to happen often.
